Sweet Carol!
Yesterday I was the overwhelmed and lucky recipient of a scissor fob by Carol from Garden of Stitches . She sent it to me as a birthday gift. It is gorgeous and I love it! Never in a million years did I think I would be a recipient of one of Carol's gorgeous fobs. It is the LHN/CCN design from the Gift of Stitching magazine. It was done on 40 ct. lambswool linen with dmc threads. Carol's stitching is amazing! My scissor fob has found a new home on my Jamie gingher's. Thanks so very much Carol for thinking of me.

A UFO Fininshed!
This is alphabet soup sampler #1 by Brightneedle. I started it a year ago and until this past week had become an ufo. Why? because those diagonal boxes about drove me crazy! They really were easy-but for some reason I would end in the wrong hole or wood miscount my stitches. So, I was extremely frustrated with it. I am happy to be done with it however as it makes me feel less guilty about buying more stuff! LOL This will be framed and put in my bedroom eventually as some of colors in this peice match the colors in my room.
Today is also my blog anniversary, I started blogging one year ago today! I can't believe how fast a year has gone by. I have found so many wonderful stiticher's online. I have started new friendships, exchanges and seen such beautiful stitching-I can't tell you all how much enjoyment it has brought me. Thanks as always for your comments, your friendship and your time that you take to visit my blog.

Biscornu Exchange Part 2
Now, that my exchange partner has received her biscornu I can post a picture. This was the biscornu and goodies I sent to Myrna of Still Living in Wonderland She was my lovely exchange recipient. I stitched a design by Periphaeria Designs . It is called the tribe #1 and I stitched it on 32 ct lavender linen with Caron Waterlilies amethyst and a VC silk called midnight. I could not find beads nor buttons I liked so I ended up with swarovski crystals instead and I think they went very well with the colors. It was such a delight to stitch this for Myrna as she was one of the first to befriend me in the blogging world. So, that made my first exchange very special.
Myrna, says she loved it and I am very glad, because I loved making it for her too. I really enjoyed this exchange and thanks to Becky for getting us all set up. Thanks to you all for the comments-as always they are so appreciated. You are the best!

An Old Finish and SBQ 3/29/2007
Well, since I can't yet post the exchange I am doing I thought I would share an old finish with you. This is portrait in blue by Green Apple Designs. I completed it in 2002 and game to my Mom. I have been behind on my stitching due to the computer issues and due to a big mistake in my exchange finishing. Can I say the scissors were not my friend- I was like ARGHH!! and actually a few more choice words that I am sure you could guess at-LOL. I had to restitch my biscornu in it's entirety this past weekend, but alas I see the light at the end of the tunnel. It is my first exchange and I admit to being a little anxious about it.
Now, for the SBQ that I was supposed to keep up with and I am woefully behind in. I will start with last weeks. It is by Cindy It is regarding freebie charts.
Do you have a system for organizing freebie charts in your stash? If so, what is it? Do you print out copies of all of the freebies that you find on the web (that you think you might actually stitch) or do you maintain electronic copies of them until you are ready to stitch them?
I usually save the freebies I like to my hard drive and then I print off the ones I want to use. I also have a binder and folder with the ones I get from cross stitch shops and the ones that I have printed off my computer. I do eventually save the ones I really like to a disc in case I have computer issues. I love to collect freebie patterns as I think you can never have too many patterns-do you think I need professional help?-LOL
