An Old Finish and SBQ 3/29/2007

Well, since I can't yet post the exchange I am doing I thought I would share an old finish with you. This is portrait in blue by Green Apple Designs. I completed it in 2002 and game to my Mom. I have been behind on my stitching due to the computer issues and due to a big mistake in my exchange finishing. Can I say the scissors were not my friend- I was like ARGHH!! and actually a few more choice words that I am sure you could guess at-LOL. I had to restitch my biscornu in it's entirety this past weekend, but alas I see the light at the end of the tunnel. It is my first exchange and I admit to being a little anxious about it.

Now, for the SBQ that I was supposed to keep up with and I am woefully behind in. I will start with last weeks. It is by
Cindy It is regarding freebie charts.

Do you have a system for organizing freebie charts in your stash? If so, what is it? Do you print out copies of all of the freebies that you find on the web (that you think you might actually stitch) or do you maintain electronic copies of them until you are ready to stitch them?

I usually save the freebies I like to my hard drive and then I print off the ones I want to use. I also have a binder and folder with the ones I get from cross stitch shops and the ones that I have printed off my computer. I do eventually save the ones I really like to a disc in case I have computer issues. I love to collect freebie patterns as I think you can never have too many patterns-do you think I need professional help?-LOL

Your Portrait in Blue turned out lovely, thanks for sharing it. Sorry to hear about the mishap with the scissors, hopefully the rest of the stitching will be without mishaps or visits from the frog.

Portrait in blue looks great, Sharon. Sorry about your biscornu mishap. :( Can't wait to see the restitched one, though.

A lovely old finish!
Most of my freebies are in folders by a few subjects, but want to gradually move them to binders, in sleeve protectors if necessary. Then, if I ever get the time, on to a spreadsheet with my paid for charts, progress journal, etc. I probably need more professional help than you, I put everything on spreadsheets :D

Lovely project you made for your Mom. Very interesting SBQ answer. My stuff is just in with the purchased patterns. I don't keep them separate.

PS you do not need professional help! You never know when you might need a little 'something' and find the perfect motif in your own stash : )
