Well, amazingly I surprised myself and managed to finish my second ornament of the month. It is called joy by Erica Michael Designs from the 2004 JCS ornament issue. Now onto trying to finish the LHN challenge from the Friend's Gather Board . I am working on the cherries thread pack. Thanks for all the support and suggestions regarding a rotation. I am still mulling it over. Tomorrow my stitching time will be taken up with a call to jury duty (sigh). Have a great week!
A small happy dance for me! This is star topiary from the JCS 2000 ornament issue. It is by Hillside Samplings. This will count as my Feb. ornament though I do hope to complete another ornament on the SAL weekend. I'm getting ambitious aren't I? LOL I do still have a charm to place on it, but that must be ordered. I stitched using Crescent colors as I did not have the required GAST threads. In other news I won't be lurking around any blogs as I am going on a Women's retreat with a friend. Will be back on Sunday-I may get to do a little stitching. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and happy stitching!
Just a brief note to wish everyone a very Happy Valentines Day! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day. Thanks for the birthday wishes for Caleb-we loved them! I got a little Nashville stash as a Valentines gift from my DH. Will share later.

Today is my baby's birthday! Caleb turned 9. He will soon be out of the single digits. We have a Spongebob theme this year (can you tell by the balloons or is it the cake)? Caleb is my cuddly one and my nickname for him is sugar dumpling, he is sweet and can be very quiet at times. Definitely a Mama's boy but, in a great way. I love you Caleb and I hope you have many happy birthday's in your future. I just wanted to give you a huge shout out from me and the rest of the family and because I just can't resist those MasterCard commercials:
Birthday cake: $20
Balloons: $10
Video games: $75
My child's happiness: priceless
Here is my last finish for January that I forgot to post. It is the watermelon thread pack from Little House Needleworks. I did mine on a green colored linen not the natural that the pattern called for. I don't know if you can see that in the photo. Cherries is in the wings. I seem to have lost a little of my stitching mojo this past week. I feel like I am not getting much accomplished. Of course the week has been busy with appointments, work and such. I am however excited about what's coming out of Nashville this week, and I can't wait to see everything. You my stitching friends have been doing some awesome stuff. Has everyone seen Vonna's fantastic finishes and exchanges? Just gorgeous stuff. Anyway, hopefully I can get up and moving here. Thanks everyone for the comments, as always they are appreciated more than you will ever know. Hope everyone has a good week and happy stitching!
Well I guess all that stalking paid off! I got my computer back yesterday and as luck would have it had to go to work. Hopefully, I will get caught up with blog reading over the next couple of days as I am off! Thanks for the sweet comments regarding my computer issues, I missed you all too. Here is my very first Christmas ornament, can you believe that I have been cross stitching now for six years and haven't ever done an ornament? Anyway this is Folk Art Topiary by Brown House Studio completed 1/30/07 using Crescent colors. It's in the 2004 JCS ornament issue.
