Lizzie Kate HD and more......

My Lizzie Kate finish of housework can kill you. I think this is so funny as I feel this way a lot of the time. This is done on 32 count antique ivory. It's looks washed out from the flash. I changed the flowers to a burnt orange and the same eggplant color that the bottom words are done in. It was fun-but it seems like it took me forever to finish. Also, don't look too hard an error may slap you on the forhead-LOL

The above picture is Alexis and Brandon on the first day of school. They are together for the first time in a long time. Alexis is in the 6th and Brandon is in the8th grade this year. They go from 9:30 am to 4:30pm. I can't tell you how much I hate those times. All our school times changed this year as the busing changed in order to save money.

This is Caleb, he is in the 4th grade. My baby-doesn't he look sweet?

These fun threads were a surprise from Jinger of Rae of Sunshine Stitches . She has done a really cool flip flop piece with some fun thread for edging. Stop by her blog and see it. So she very generously sent me some-I can't wait to try it. Thank you Jinger!

Thanks so much for the comments on my last finish and the kids. They were much appreciated. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Tropical storm Fay at the current moment is heading my way-so right now I expect a wet one. Happy Stitching!

Love the pics of the kids first day back to school. I was trying to do so many things I didn't even think to grab the camera. Since they've only had two days of school I might just grab a shot next Monday and pretend. LOL Stay safe; there was so much flooding south of us and the Fay's eye is going over us now. Not looking forward to the rest of the night with all the wind and rain but at least it's moving again!

Oh my gosh, your kids look so bright and ready for school - makes me feel all nostalgic for that first day of school .... It's not as dramatic here, probably because of the much short holiday period. Those new school times are awful, btw.

Love your finish. I must stitch this one. Niek will never stop laughing. ;)

I hope you will be safe with that storm coming your way :o( Please keep in touch to let us know.

I need to stitch that one too! LOL
I love those first day of school photos. What's with those hours-until 4:30-ugh! At least they don't have to get up at the crack of dawn. I hope they all have great years. You have some linebackers there-so big and strong looking.

Sharon ~

You have some beautiful kids!!! They look so happy in those pictures! :~)

I have 3 kids ~ my daughter will be 12 on the 27th and she is in 7th grade ~ she goes to school from 8:45am until 3:45pm ~ long day! The bus picks her up at 8:10 in the morning & drops her off at 4:20 in the afternoon ~ and in this hot Arizona sun, a bus without a/c is awful!

I just love your piece about housework! I just have to find that pattern so I can stitch that as well! LOL!!!

I just love reading your blog ~ and the purple layout is so pretty!!! Purple is my absolute favorite color!

I have a little surprise for you on my blog ... please check it out!

Have a great weekend!
Margie

Your housework piece turned out great, what a fun piece. The kids look happy to be starting school, what lovely smiles they all had. Have fun with the new fibers. I peaked at Rae's blog, the flipflop piece with the fuzzy cording and hanger was wonderful.

A school that starts at 9.30? Wow. I'm sorry you're not happy with these new times, but I think they're just great!
Love the pictures of your kids, Sharon! They look as if they are actually looking forward to going :o)
I also adore this LK design. How true that saying is :o)

Sharon,
Congrats on your finish. I love that saying!...lol.
Wow, your kids are already back at school. If it makes you feel any better about their time.... the middle school near my house starts at 7:30am and goes until 1:45pm. There are kids who have lunch at 10:30am.
It's amazing how fast they grow up. I wish all 3 well with the school year. I can't wait to hear how they do during the school year.

Great L*K finish - and I love the words in this - definitely words to live by! I agree, I think those are awful times for kids in school, that makes for such a late day for them. Mine go back to school next week - wahoo! Its 8:30 to 3:00 for them.

Your L*K finish is brilliant! It makes me smile everytime I see this one!

The pics of your kids are lovely. I mean to take pics of mine every year and I forget although I did on their first days at high school. 9.30 to 4.30 is a long school day. My youngest does 8.40am to 3.20 pm and my eldest is in 6th form so hers varies.

Lovely photos of your kids! The LK finish is so funny :)

thanks for visiting my blog, I love that L*K design, I think I'll have to do that one soon - the statement is so true.

Your kids are lovely, and they look so happy going back to school! My son is in primary 3 - and he was NOT amused... He starts at 8.15 but he's home for one, so that's not too bad. Do yours still have to do homework when they come home? That's a long day for them!
I love your Lizzie Kate piece - totally agree with the statement *lol*

My kids would love to go to school those times! Here they start at 7:20 in the morning, which is way too early for a bunch of teenagers.
