Daydream finish and other things.......

Well I have been a busy little bee. Though I didn't post when I left, the kids and I went to South Florida last week and since I have back I have been doing a bang up job playing a bum. But, alas duty will call this week! This is my daydream finish by My Mark Designs . Please forgive any wrinkles. It's done on a 32 count Silkweaver solo that I love. This will be framed eventually to go into my boys room.

This is a picture of the kids the first day of our vacation. Don't they look fresh? Too bad they didn't have a picture of all of us on the Friday following this picture as we were all limping and hobbling out of Islands of Adventure. At that point the only adventure we wanted was our hotel room. LOL So, as you can see we went to Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and two water parks. Disney's Blizzard Beach and Sea World's new water park called Aquatica. Both were great! Aquatica was not that big-but give them more time. I was so waterlogged that even the shower didn't appeal to me! But we had a great time and though there was a time or two or three that I could have reached out and touched the children in a special way-we made it through. I am most thankful that we made it to and from safely.

I want to say thank you to Michelle of Ozark Sew and Sews . She gifted me with sharing the love award. Thanks Michelle! Now I did not pass on any blog awards but I have decided to highlight a different blog or blogs when I post. So, I will be sharing the love in this way. So here you go and I hope you find someone that may be new to you!

Vee of the The Broken Needle

Lisa of Lisa V's Lounge

Lynda of A Cozy Little Place for Stitching

Anyway, that's it for me! Be back soon. Have a great week and happy stitching!

Hi Sharon, thank you for the comment on my soaping adventure. I'll be busy stitching over the next few days so it's back to needle and floss for me...Great photo of the children and glad you enjoyed your vacation. Thanks so much for listing my blog.

Daydream looks wonderful, what perfect fabric you found to do it on. The kids look thrilled to be there, so glad you all had such a good time. Enjoy the remainder of your vacation before you have to come back to the "real" world.

I can laugh now at your hobbling comments, but the same thing happened to us 3 yrs ago when we went to Universal. No way can you do two parks in one day! The kids look darn cute to me. Hope all had a great time.
We are hitting Atlantic City for a few days, that's the extent of my vacation. I told hubby that he'll be daytripping with me on the weekends when our son goes back to school. ; )
The daydream xs is awesome!
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Love the finish! It looks like you had a great time on your vacation. We've been thinking about taking the kids to Aquatica after the summer is over when it's a little cooler. Thinking it will be closer to November then September. LOL Now you need another week or two to relax after your vacation before you go back to work.

Sharon,

What a great picture of your kids! Thanks for sharing it with us.

Your vacation sounds like it was very action-packed. I am glad that you had a fun and safe time together.

Nice finish, Sharon! Your vacation sounded busy! I don't know how people go to so many parks in such a few days. They wear me out! I used to live 30 minutes away from Universal and 15 minutes from Disney... Now, I live 15 minutes from Busch Gardens :) It's nice to have a pass and to be able to just go for a few hours. Plus, the heat is horrible when you spend a day in it! I'm not sure how people work outside in FL :) Okay, I think I am going to stop babbling now and go to bed. lol.

Congrats on your finish Sharon! I really love that piece of fabric as well :o)

You have beautiful children :o) Glad you had a wonderful time at Disney. Even though it's supposed to be fun, I imagine there is a lot of walking. No wonder you were tired.

What a great post, Sharon! I love that pic of your kids, with such big smiles on their faces. I could picture you limping around Florida by the end of the week, though. No need for photographs when you write so well :o)
I simply adore the 'Daydreaming' design. It looks fabulous!

Sharon, I'm glad my kids don't read your blog or they'd be so jealous of your vacation! The Pacific Northwest is not a waterpark Mecca like S. Florida. Sounds like you all had a great vacation, even considering those "special" moments. :D
