My First Biscornu

Sorry these are not the best pictures. But, here is my first biscornu. I am not to happy with it. I don't think I have it filled enough and I am not to sure that it is big enough. Though, I guess that biscornu's are not to big. If anyone has any thoughts on this or suggestions, I would appreciate it.

Congratulations!

It is a little hard to get the stuffing right the first couple of times. You really have to just stuff, stuff, stuff them :)

They get easier. Can't wait to see your next one.

It's adorable!! I was kind of surprised at how small my first one was too.

I think it looks cute! I've never even attempted one because they look awfully difficult.

I think it came out just lovely. We're always so critical of our own work.

Thought: it's great! I agree w/Sue, we're most critical of our own stuff.

Suggestion: Make more!! You're doing great.

Well, I just finished my first needleroll last night (haven't posted pics on my blog yet). I've also started on a biscornu chart so it is lovely to see yours, I think it's a real cutie! :) R.

Sharon, I think your biscornu looks wonderful! I was afraid my first biscornu was too flat as well, but when I look at it now, I'm quite proud of my first attempt. I loce the design, by the way!

Congrats on your first biscornu, Sharon - it looks great! :D I think they can be any size, really ... the one and only I've stitched so far was quite large, and I'm sure it needed to be smaller ... then again, I've been them as teeny tiny ones too :) I have an actual chart for one that I'm partway through stitching, and the actual stitched design is 12.5cm across (without the little bit of 'free space' on the edge ... dunno if that helps? :D

I have never heard of this. I think it is a lovely job though. Don't be so hard on yourself. You do wonderful work.

It looks pretty good to me! I haven't tried to make one of these yet, so I can't offer any advice, but it looks like you have already received some tips from others! Good job!

Hi Sharon

Your biscornu is very pretty ... but I'm going to have to admit that I don't have a clue what one is. Can you enlighten me? :o)

Congrats on finishing your first biscornu! I haven't tried one yet, but it's certainly on my to-do list. :)

You might try to stuff your next one more, but this one looks fine. It'll look better to you after some time has passed - it's amazing how that works, lol!
